Non-urgent advice: Extended Access & Out of Hours
Extended Hours Surgeries
This is a service for patients who find it difficult to attend surgery during normal hours. The service is available in various centres around the area and between them they are open from Monday to Friday 6.30pm – 9.30pm evenings and Saturday and Sunday 9am – 6pm. Appointments may be made by phoning 0300 123 7743 option 3 between the hours of 8am and 8pm.
Accident & Emergency Department
Please do not use this service instead of the surgery or the new 111 service. Accident and Emergency should only be used in a critical or life threatening situation. There are A&E departments at the Countess of Chester and MCHT Leighton hospitals. Click the links for more information.
If you are unable to decide which service would be most suitable for your problem, the West Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group website page Choose Well is a source of further information and advice. Click the link to access the page.

Out of Hours
New Service – NHS 111 (Out of Hours)
An urgent health care problem is one that cannot safely wait until the next routine surgery. If you need urgent medical attention from a GP outside of normal surgery hours, please call 111 (Not the surgery number).
111 service is free to call from landlines and mobiles.
